That is, the hype that "Speed Racer" is a bad movie.   

These are bad people saying this.  Bad people with absolutely no sense of fun, wonder, humor or excitement.

You may pity them as they obviously already reside in their own torpid hell, as they each try to come up with their own simile about how they simply can't handle color and momentum.  I'll admit that I cannot pity them at the moment, since I had so much fun at an IMAX showing that I despise them and their weak ass dead-soul reviews, and I hate the people who then read it and say "oh, that means it's not good.  Thanks for the advice!".

Those fucking people killed "Grindhouse" last year.

The screwdriver and (unseen) psychic paper are completely accurate.  Everything else I'm painfully aware of.  I added the top button, but sadly the cut of the lapel would not allow a fourth.   And did you notice the owner of this borrowed bedroom has some great shoes?







But you really need to hear the Estuary accent with the befuddled expression for the true effect.  Go on, say it out loud: "What the hell's with this Dalek clown car???"





A girl walked up and stated that she needed to pet Robert.  "Fuck you!  This always happens!" I said.  But then he also got hassled by a spud.  The man knows how to work a suit and no one can control themselves around him, for better or worse.  The mask had a working jaw hinge, it's even better than you can tell here.

 

I don't know, but I recommend them all.  

"An Abundance of Katherines" was pretty good too.  Mind you, the sitcom "Big Bang Theory" will NOT be good, though maybe it proves there's something of a loser buddies zeitgeist happening.  But maybe someone'll make another good movie.

If they're at my library, chances are they're at yours.  Check out the "King Dork" audiobook.  Lincoln Hoppe sounds a bit like Brad Neely's drolly snarky  "Wizard" narrator, but without the fits of rage and wizened dude in a leather hat timbre.
